Middlesbrough have made a limited edition 150 Kit available for pre-order, a special design drawing on the original colours from the club's formation year. This unique jersey will be used in the next home Championship game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, an important fixture for Michael Carrick's team.
The deep blue shirt and shorts pay homage to the colours used when the club was established. The design mirrors the first kit worn by Middlesbrough, a club that began when a local cricket team switched to football for the colder season and coloured their white kits blue. "Our limited-edition 150 Kit is available for pre-order from 12 noon on Wednesday," stated Middlesbrough FC. The pre-order period starts at midday on Wednesday and finishes at 5pm on Thursday. An adult shirt costs £70, while a junior size is £58. The kit cannot be pre-ordered in baby, infant, or women's sizes, and custom printing is not an option during this phase.
Exclusive features and future release
An initial batch of 1,876 shirts will be sold, symbolising the year the club was founded. A further release is planned for later in the year. Buyers will get a special box and a numbered authenticity card with their purchase. The shirt's inner hem features a famous description of the town by William Gladstone.
