Middlesbrough will aim to maintain their strong Championship form and extend a dominant recent record when they visit Birmingham City on Saturday.
The third-placed side, on 14 points from seven games, are unbeaten in five league matches and have won seven of their last eight trips to face Birmingham. Their last defeat at St Andrew's came in October 2019.
Birmingham, currently 10th, are still searching for a first home victory this season, having drawn all three of their Championship fixtures at their own ground. Their last win over Boro was a 2-0 victory in October 2021 under then-manager Lee Bowyer.
"Birmingham City are hoping to pick up their first home win of the season when they face Middlesbrough on Saturday," Bowyer said.
Michael Carrick's team have shown resilience, earning seven points from losing positions this season, a league-high tally. Four of those points came in their last two outings, a 4-3 comeback win over Norwich and a 2-2 draw with Millwall. They have scored in each of their last 11 league games.
